A gas company's perspective on 'Synergy'
August 22, 2016

Imagine you're on a tour bus
halfway back into Canada.
Driver stopped by a rest station
for all to take a breather.

As riders slowly dispersed
beyond the hydraulic door,
I followed quietly with the group
to see what was in store.

The golden arches' a good choice
they do serve better coffee.
Saving me an extra trip
after lunch in my tummy.

I reached for the door
something moved in my peripheral.
Hesitated at the entrance
and to the cue my eyes followed.

There was this blue flag
trying to get my attention.
The wind, rippling its tip,
assisting with our introduction.

The material danced in the air,
making a rhythmic sound.
Carrying a message for those
who cared to look around.

I slowed down my steps
as if seeing something important.
Took my brain a moment to register
what was requesting of my judgement.

Quickly took out my phone;
a usual habit.
Then drawn like a piece of metal
that had found its own magnet.

My legs pulled me closer
as I clicked on the button.
My only regret now
was that I cut off the bottom!!

Device I clutched close
as we headed back to the bus.
An idea came to me
and to follow thru I must.

Before the start of trip,
got some free roaming data.
It was reserved to be used
only as an emergency quota.

But this was urgent enough
as I tweeted on Symphony's Twitter.
Then closed my eyes for a nap
like the rest of the passengers.

A week after I returned
driving and taking care of errands.
There again... another one!
Just like in NY, Binghamton.

I wanted to take a picture
but it was already night.
The image might be compromised
for simply lack of light.

Took me exactly a month
to finally got around
finding a similar light of day
with a blue sky in the background.

Now I put them side by side
and a caption for all to see:

"Synergy sees no Boundaries."
